Triskelion Irish Setters began in 1971 with a pet quality Irish setter bitch named Shamrock's Red Velvet CDX. When Velvet came to me I was naive and unaware of the needs of a young and rambunctious Irish setter. This naiveté prompted my panicked answer to an ad for obedience lessons. Thus began my friendship with Lt. Col. J.T. & Marguerite LeSeuer (Many of you will know them as Peggy Wampold's parents). J.T & Marguerite took me under their wing since Irish were their first breed and within two years that little redhead had her CDX and 2 legs toward her UD. In addition to all of this she blessed us with a litter of 13 puppies just before Christmas of 1973!
I have had Irish setters and Brittanys over the last 35 years and in 1994 I purchased my first show quality Irish setter Estrella Miss Demeanor from Jeanette Holmes. Since then, I acquired Maria in May '95, Mory in November '95, Piper in February '98. In April 1999 our first litter in 26 years was born. There are 8 finished champions from that litter, 3 BISS winners and 1 Multiple BIS BISS winner. In April 2002 Kayley (the first to finish from the Destiny litter) blessed us with a wonderful litter of 9 gorgeous puppies. These are now known as the POINT litter. In February of 2003 Kismet (another DESTINY kid) gave us 10 munchkins these are the POP kids!! In late 2003 the "MAGIC" continued with the whelping of 9 wonderful kids. On Cinco de Mayo (May 5, 2005)Rosie whelped 7 gorgeous puppies in less than two hours, they are our Mayo litter. 2005 produced two singleton litters - On August 9, 2005 Kayley whelped a beautiful singleton male - Triskelion Lone Ranger (Tonto). Then on Dec 22, 2005 Kismet blessed us with a beautiful 22 oz bitch - Triskelion Winter Solstice (Widget)
